  1. Long ago people had great belief in visiting holy wells. There is a holy well in Derrylahan. Every summer certain people go to it for the cure of Rheumatism Plenty of people visit this well yet, but they can only visit it during the summer.
    When they reach the well the kneel down and say three "Our Fathers" and three "Hail Marys" Then they take off up a bottle of the water, and they rub it to the sore. They spend some time praying at the will before they leave. They take another bottle of the water home with them but they do not bring the water indoors. This well is called "Tobbar Fior Uisce"
    Long ago the people visited a lake, that s on "Carraic na Madad" When they reached this lake, they took off their shoes and put their their feet into this lake three times, saying each time In the Name of the Father and of the
