cut in the middle and an eye left at each side, the small potatoes with eyes are not cut. Then the seed is sown and then there is manure put on the potatoes and then the potatoes are covered.
People help each other sowing potatoes. Sometimes the people help to cut the seeds and sometimes the men open the drills, or they send their workmen with horses to plough the land, or they would send someone to set the seeds. The potatoes are weeded in the summer and they are moulded. There is a special plough for moulding the potatoes. There is only one horse under the plough. Some people dig out the potatoes and some take them out with a plough.
