   Slievenambo: This is the townland in which I live. The word Slievenambo means the mountain of the huts.
   "The furry field" gets its name because furze bushes grow in it.
   "The ferny field" gets its name because ferns grow in it.
   "The hedge field" gets its name because there is an old hedge growing on the fence which surrounds it.
   "The coarse meadow" gets its name because coarse grass grows in it.
   "Paddy's fields" gets its name because there was a man named Paddy Shiel owned those fields.

   Slievereagh: This is the name of the townland in which I live. It gets its name from the Heathery Mountain. My home farm. "The field at the back-of-the house": This field gets its name because it is situated at the back of my house. "The hollow field": This field gets its name from a hollow which goes through it.
