    There are any grave-yards in my district. there are three in Birr, one in Gallows Hill outside Birr, the military cemetary at Crinkle, one in Kilcoleman, one in Clonoghill and one at the back of the Birr Shoe Factory. The ones in Birr, Clonoghill and Kilcoleman are still in use. All these graveyards are of square construction. There are many disused church yards in this district, for instance, there are two in Birr, one in Crinkle, on in Kilcoleman and one in Gallow's Hill. In Clonoghill cemetry unbaptized children are buried in a plot in the east end of the grave-yard.
