  1. 1) when making the nest turf mould is placed at the bottom of the box and straw put over it. it is said that the turf mould keeps the eggs from getting too hot.
    2)Friday is considered the most lucky day on which to sit the eggs.
    3) An uneven number of eggs should be set for luck and thirteen is the usual number.
    4) It is unlucky to set a double egg that is one.
    5) Round eggs are better setting eggs than the long ones.
    6) The sign of the cross is made one each egg with a finger dipped in holy water and it is also usual to
