    stamped the impression of his head, and which was resorted to for the purpose of curing headaches. The person who wanted to be cured was to bring some water from the St Brochan well and pour it into the cavity in St.Brochan stone. He was then to bathe his head in the water while invoking the intercession of the saint. Beside the stone is a large cairn probably raised by the pilgrims who each added a stone in memory of their visit or their cure. A great pattern used
