    At Christmas they put up holly and ivy to celebrate the feast. After Palm Sunday they hang up the Blessed Palm around the pictures for the whole year.
    On St. Brigids Day they used make a cross with rushes and hang it in the corner of the house or over the fire. If they had not that they would hang up a piece of a brown ribbon. Everyone does not hang them up. They also make little baskets out of rushes.
