  1. In the year 1894, there was a man named Richard Reeves, killed in a coal mine in Wales. Pat Reeves, his brother was working on a farm, whose owner was Mr. Thorpe. At that time there was a dance held at "The Long Meadow Gate" in the Irish Town, every night. One moonlight night he was coming home late from the dance.
