information from James Keating , Clonamona.
In a field belonging to Furlong's, Coolishall a bottle was got one day about a couple of years ago. In this bottle was a letter written in Latin. The letter was brought to the priest who translated it for the people. It said that gold was hidden in the same field. Some of the Furlong family spent almost three months digging for gold but they failed to find it.
