    miles from here and he used to come here to every fair with a big box of brogues which were called a "kish" load.
    There was another brogue maker living in Ballymurn a little village about four miles from Castlebridge.
    A pump-maker named Barney Heffernan lived near Kilmallock he had a family of sons who were all pump-makers and he used to bring the pumps which they made to the fairs in "kishes" to sell.
    There was a man named Bobby Sinnott in this district who used to make boots and legging from sheep-skin.
