   were supposed to have been taken out of Ardtramont Castle. In Ardcolm church many years ago an old top boot was hidden behind a loose stone in the wall and when it was discovered it was full up of gold coins. In the island of Begerin there was a large amount of treasure buried. On one occasion three fisher men from this district were out fishing in the Bay. They were hailed by a Spanish Ship and asked where Begerin was. The Spanish sailors told the fishermen that at the North side of Begerin under a white thorn treasure was
