- There is a Holy Well in (Yoletown?) in the parish of Tintern on the bank of the river opposite Ryan's Mill. Scarcely any knows that that well is there and nobody visits that. It is called St Brigid's Well.It is said to be able to cure sore eyes and a pain in the ear. To cure those things the ears or the eyes must be washed in the well.
