  1. Churning.
    Our churn is about four feet in height. The sides are round and it is thirty or forty years old. The churn is on stands and when the handle is turned it goes round. The churning is done by hand,
    In summer the butter is churned about three times a week and takes twenty minutes. On the cover of the churn is a little glass and when there is no cream inside the glass, this is a sign that the butter is made.
