    Many of these old spinning machines are to be had yet but they are not in perfect condition. The principal weavers in this district were Mrs Burke

    Home made Toys
    Nearly every boy and a lot of girls made some kind of toys
    In summer girls made necklaces, they a string and they put daisies on it and they put it around their necks. Near Christmas long ago they used to make dolls and Teddy-bears, they used to make them of sawdust and cloth.
    In spring boys made tops from thread spools and they put a twine around it, and throw it and it would begin to spin. They make bird-
