  1. At the wake of Peter Donohoe of Carrick a very funny thing happened. This man died while sitting up in bed. Having died in this position he had to be tied down by a rope which was fastened to the end of the bed. When the people began to come to the wake a man stole in under the bed with a knife. Some women went into the room to say the rosary. While it was going on the man [/] cut the rope and the dead man sat up. They women jumped to their feet so they thought the dead man had come to life again.
