  1. Old Song

My name is Pat Maguire, a shoemaker by trade, a bold and daunted Irish lad, that never was afraid.

    I
    My name is Pat Maguire,
    A shoemaker by trade,
A bold and daunted Irish lad,
    That never was afraid.
If all the men in Paddy's land
Could say their prayers like me,
    Those landlords agents and bailiffs
    Would not have any sway.
    II
There is one advice I'll give you,
I think it just and fair,
Whenever you meet a decent lad.
    Treat him as you were
But whilst the night are long and dark
Be sure and keep right sound
And whenever you meet a traitor lad
Be sure and knock him down
