  1. The John Higgins was a casual harvester who frequently went long journey to harvest. He died about 9 years ago, when he was about 90 years of age.
    He enjoyed excellent health to the end. He lived in a miserable hovel - lived practically on strong tea - which he boiled for several minutes in a porringer - smoked [?] while the weed lasted was fond of spirits.
