  1. (continued from previous page)
A journey-man weaver was going round the country. He came to a house and stayed their for a long time. One day the man of the house was working at hay when he saw a shower coming. The man went for the weaver to come and help him. The weaver saw that the shower was gone so he was in no hurry to help him. When he reached the man was very vexed so he ran with the fork to stick him. The weaver told him to take his time or if he would not go about his business he would make that little frog put him out of the meadow. The man dared either the weaver or the frog to put him out. The weaver told the frog to put him out so he grew and grew until he was the size of a good dog. Then he gave one or two jumps towards the man as he had to jump the ditch as quick as he could. The weaver told the from to come back. He turned and came back to his usual size so he hopped back up the gripe.
