  1. Some time ago there was a young man named Thomas Taffee living in this district.
    One night he was coming from Thomas McConkeys house where he had been on a ceilidh.
    When he passed Bernard Corrigans forge he crossed into a field as it was a nearway to his home.
    As soon as he entered the field something seemed to be pushing him back to the road again.
    The night was dark and he could not see anything but he jumped a ditch and reach home safely.
    The following night he want the same way to see would anything happen and as soon
