    One night a man was coming from Granard riding a horse. He fell from his horse and when he got up there was a crowd of black fairies around him.
    The leader of the fairies went up to the man who said:
    "If you injure me, I'll cut your head off."
    "I will", answered the fairy, and with that the man drew his knife, and cut the fairy's head off.
    When he went home there was a pet fairy for him. Soon after the man went out for something and when
