    through a process called scutching. Then the neighbouring girls would gather up for a few nights to do the scutching and the people would give a weeks dancing. It was taken then to be spun by a woman into yarn a man would weave it into clothe. The people would take it home all they wanted and sell the rest of it in a town nearby for a real good price.
