Ash Wednesday falls on a different date every year.
On Ash Wednesday morning all the people go to the Church to get the blessed ashes on their forehead from the Priest.
Ash Wednesday is a day of fast and abstinence. No meat is allowed of any kind on that day. People are not allowed butter or eggs on that day except sick people or people who work hard. Jam is used on that day.
Hold Thursday falls on the Thursday before Easter Sunday.
On that day people go to the Church to do the Stations of the Cross. On last Holy Thursday there was Benediction and the Blessed Sacrament was taken from the Tabernacle of the altar and(continues on next page)- Collector
