  1. The local landlord was Tuite. His residence was at Sonna, and part of Rathconrath.
    Sonna comprised of Ballymaglavey, Empor, and the Mannor of Edgeworthstown.
    Sonna estate formally belonged to the O'Casey's but when Strongbow came to Ireland he took possession of Sonna, and gave it to Tuite one of his followers.
    The O'Casey's were Master Casey of Milltown National School who claims to be one of his ancestors.
