    Mullingar to Castletown, and the men carried the bier on their shoulders in turn, to the grave. He was buried in the gaol, but a few years after he was taken up, and buried in Hopestown.
    The man who did commit the crime, confessed to the truth to Bishop Cantwell on the evening before Brian died was hung. But the Bishop told him not to got down to the gaol or he would be hung along with Brian because a man was never released after the trial even if he was proved innocent.
