    On the lands of Thomas Glover Clonfad there is a small ditch.

    On the lands of Thomas Glover Clonfad there is a small ditch. Years ago man came to the owner James Asbury and asked him to let him dig the ditch and offered him £25. He would not let him do it as he wanted the treasure for himself. The man said that it would be no use to him and went away.
    Some time after the owner started to open a sand-pit at the end of the ditch.
    Everything he had began to die - cows, calves, sheep and horses.
