    I fell for her wrongs and her woes
    With wrath I incessantly burn
    When I view the triumph of her foes.

    Justice oh why doest thou slumber
    While tyrants oppress us so keen
    Weighty are the chains that encumber
    The friends of the seamróg so green.

    Groan under a burdensome yoke,
    Crushed down by the weight oppresion
    Combined and designed to provoke.
