  1. This is supposed to be the place where the Croppies were buried. This field is in the townland of Muff, Nobber. The owner of the field is always very careful not to desecrate the place where they rest, hence when he is tilling the field, he always leaves the Croppie's grave untouched.

    Sínte ar thaobh an t-sleibhe,
    Connaic mé "Croppy" bocht,
Bhí an drúcht go trom ar a éadan,
Is bhí piléar tríd i n-a ucht.
Bhí sé i bhfád ón- a cháirde,
    I bhfád ón-a thig is a mhnaoi,
    Is é i n-a aonar fágtha,
Ar an bhféár fhuar fhluich i n-a luighe.
