Ar an leathanach seo

  1. About the year 1920 a priest was drowned in the Blackwater about a mile outside Navan. He was swimming in the river when suddenly he was brought under by the current. There were other priests along with him who escaped from the current in time. Ever since that no one was allowed to swim at that place.
    The above drowning occurred in the whirlpool beside the Metal Bridge in the Blackwater. It is said that three headless horses pull him around a pool in the field beside the river in a carriage. I do not known if anyone has seen these headless horses though old people talk about them.
