    It is said that it is lucky to begin ploughing on a Saturday.
    It is said that potatoes should be planted before the 17th of March
    Turnips should be planted before the 29th June.
    The first Saturday in April is said to be lucky for sowing oats.
    Winter wheat should be sowed the first week in November.
    The "Dog Days" are said to be the warm days of July it is said that it was on these days that the dog used to go mad with the heat.
