    There are two ruined castles in the district.
    One of them is in Frane and another is in Rathmore.
    The castle in Rathmore was built by Dr. Plunkett hundreds of years ago. It is in the townland of Rathmore, the parish of Athboy; the barony of Lune, County Meath.
    The castle in Frane was built by Hugh De Lacy. It is in the townland of Athboy the barony of Lune
