  1. (continued from previous page)
Tom made a rhyme about the places he visited on his rounds with his basket. Of Rahoney he rhymed,
    In Rathmore and Rahoney
You'll get eggs but no money
And you'll meet every "gorry" as thick as a bear,
Portion of a Rhyme about the Meath Hunt
    Waller made the war.
    Tisdall fed the larks
    Barley Willie barks
    For a warning.
    Tom Gerrard's on his perch
    Whistling up his march
And Lombard goes boating for his marning.
    Here come Tom Sheridan
    All the way from McGlew's
    He has an auld saddle
[You'd think?] he got it from the jews,
With an auld nag to sell
    That's not worth an umbrell'
Sure he'd like to be a swell
    Like Dary Farrell.
Tom The Boddagh is dead about thirty years and he was a very old man when he died.
