  1. Holy Wells.
About a mile south of Moynalvey School in a district known as Brideswell there is a well called St Bridget's well. It is situated on a hill and there is a paling erected around it to prevent animals from drinking it's water. The people in the neighbourhood believe that St. Bridget rested on this hill when on her journey from Faughart to Kildare, and it was then the well sprang up. A lone ash tree stands on the hill overlooking the well.
