The following are the signs of good weather
(1) When the swallows fly high.
(2) When the sun sets red in the evening.
(3) When the fog is in a hollow.
(4) Sheep lying on the top of a hill in the morning.
(5) When you see a yellow frog.
(6) When the smoke goes up straight out of chimneys.
(7) When the wind is from the East.
(8) Crows flying high going home in the evenings.
(9) Turkeys going away from the house.
(10) When the cows are lying late in the morning.Bad Weather signs
(1) A plentiful supply of haws (?) and berries.
(2) Cats sitting with their backs to the fire.
(3) When you hear the Curlew cry.
(4) When the beetles come out through the house at night.
(5) A circle around the Sun or moon.
(6) Dogs eating grass.
(7) When you see a lot of wild geese together.
