    time of the Tuatha De Danann.
    There is a cave about ten yards from it the entrance of which is not blocked up with bushes.
    The cave runs north to the river Glyde and south to the castle.
    In the north side of the cave there is a well beside the well there is a big square room.
    The room was used by priests during the Penal Laws. The south sides entrance is blocked up with stones. Often lights were see at the fort
    The ghost of Matthew Ruad is supposed to be in the south side of the cave.
    No wealth is in either sides of the cave
