    My home townland is Lissrenny. It was first called the "Fort of the Ferns".
    There are fourteen families in Lissrenny.
    B. Filgate, P. Farrell, H. Hoey, J. Townley, H. McCormac, P. Mathews, T. Walker, O. Murphy, L. Clark, J. Mathews, D. Murphy, J. Morgan, T. Devin, P. Holland.
    There are two groups of families of the same name, Jack Mathews and P. Mathews and O. Murphy, and D. Murphy.
    There are six people over seventy in my townland. Hugh Hoey, Owen Murphy, Hugh Scott, Brigit Devin and Patrick Mathews.
    There are five woods with names, the "Devin wood", "The bog wood", " The halls wood",
    "The View wood" , "Aggie wood".
