Our boots are repaired by a local shoemaker, his name is J. Murphy and he lives near Greenore. A man called P. Rafferty used to repair boots, but he has resigged, he lives down by the shore at Rathcor.
Many old people used to repair their own boots and shoes, but, there is not times for this work now-a-days.
An old proverb is:- "Better wear out boots than sheets."
