There are four different kinds of sugans, namely bogdeal, straw, luachairmhadra hay, and rushes.
The material for bogdeal sugan was got off bogdeal stick by stripping slices off abut the strength of a straw.
This was twisted in the same way as the straw and other sugans, that is, the man letting the sugans sat in a chair with the pile of bogdeal at his left hand side.
Another member of the family usually a youngster held a twisting bow, an long rod bent at the top something like this.[Drawing] - Twisting bowThe man letting the sugan first of all held about five or six strips by the ends in both hands.
