    There's no use in bragging about gander dagging
    My heart was left swagging with awful fright
    Since one Mrs Regan that damnable pagan
    She dagged our poor gander on last Friday night
    2.
    She played hall to our gander did away with his grandeur
    She plucked him all over from his nose to his toes
    The devil a feather she left on his nether
    O dear if you'd seen him he made a surprise.
    3.
    This bird was well framed with elegant plumage
    From his breast to his wings were all like lamb's wool.
    There is no use in talking if you had seen him walking
    His joints were as round as a four year old bull's
    4.
    I will tell you on the spot where this gander was got
    Believe me or not sure I don't give a haw
    Johnny Burke had a goose the breed of Toulouse
    And a fine sporting gander the name of "Macaw"
