Mick Gilligan was a genreal workman with Phil Walsh of Ballylinan Golden and was in Ballyhurst.

Mick Gilligan was a general workman with Phil Walsh of Ballinlina Golden + was in Balluhurst.
He was arrested + although everything was done to extract information from him he remained staunch + true + told nothing.
He was before the court four times - On the fourth day one of the police, probably a fenian whispered him: "Hold tough today Gilligan"
This gave him courage + he bravely bore through all cross-examination + was released that evening.
