  1. Once upon a time there was a man living in Greenane. One day he went into a fort gathering sticks. He cut some of the sticks in the fort and was going home. He looked back and he saw a shadow something like a head of an ass.
    As he was walking along he kept looking back. He saw the shadow every time. When he was going to bed that night he saw an open coffin.
    Next morning he went back to the fort and planted the sticks he cut. He never saw the shadow after.
