  1. The Droughmore Grabber
    I
Last week in my rambles around Donoughmore.
To pick up a bit for the childer
I went down to Purcells and went at the door
    My sences were greatly bewildered
For there I was shucked by a ferret eyed bum
Who kissed like a serpent and at me he looked glum
He told me to quit and again never come
As the farm belonged to a Grabber
    II
He hunted me off and I met Wille Lane
Who cheerfully gave me a shilling
    "Sioban" said poor Wille
    Our dear friends again
