  1. Hidden Treasure at Clonpet
    In the Castle field in Clonpet one mile from Tipperary town there was supposed to be hidden treasure under a big castle that once stood there. One night some men started to dig for the treasure until at last they met a big flag. When they were about to rise up this flag the heard a terrible noise in a nearby bohereen along which a stream flows summer and winter. At that time people were very much afraid of ghosts and fairies. What used to be called the headless coach would come on at night always when people were just about to find the hidden treasure. The diggers became nervous and ran away. The next morning one of the men went to see what had happened
