  1. There is a fort situated in a field on the above farm adjoining the Ballinastick Road in which was buried a large crock of gold.
    Of all the searchers who went in quest of the gold none succeeded because when they were near their objective, violent storms arose their lights were extinguished and they were chased away by a large black dog.

    On this farm in a fort called the críocán lay buried a large crock of gold.
    Nobody who went in search of the gold ever succeeded as they were driven away by a large gauder that stood guard over it.
