    a cow he gets his scissors and cuts some hair off the flank of the beast he then gets mud and rubs it to the flank. In that way most of the cattle are marked. The pigs are usually marked with raddle. (Sometimes red raddle is used)
    When horses are sold the seller keeps the bridle and saddle but (his) he buy's a cheap halter and gives it to the buyer.
    A special Turkey fair is held in Callan every year about the month of October and Turkeys are brought in to this fair from all the surrounding districts.
