  1. There are ruins of an old castle in Ballyeck and there is a story told about a can of gold that that was hidden near this castle. A certain man stayed at home from Mass one Sunday to dig for the gold. but when he rest of the people came home from Mass they did not know him because his mouth was where his ears should be. This happened about ninety years ago.
