    It was there the Butlers lived long ago, and were driven out by the Kennedys in the year 1348.
    There is also an old Church and castle situated in Rathurles, they were built by the Normans hundreds and hundreds of years ago.
    They are in ruins since the time of the Normans and were beseigied by Silken Thomas in his rebellion.
    There is an old door in the church and it is covered with weeds in side.
