    A number of cures were made by quack doctors, some by charm and more with the aid of herbs.

    Another great herb that grows is called "Cockle Root" which is great for the "Blood."
    They say that turf is a very good cure for asthma. This the smell of the turf that is good for the sick person.
    Some diseases were cured by visits to holy wells at different diseases.
    Names of some of them are St. Conlon's well Youghal Ara. St. Patrick's well Ballywillian. St. Jacob's well Lisboney.
