  1. Local Cures,
    In the olden times it was very hard to get a doctor as they were not a they are nowadays as plentiful, so the people had to try and cure their own sicknessess.
    One of the old cures for a person with a sore throat was to put hot salt in the foot of their stocking when going to bed and put it around their throat and that it would be cured in the morning.
