There are many ghost stories told about Nenagh among them is the story of the Bawn ghost.

    Police.
Every night towns people went out to see if they could see the ghost, but it was all in vain, but they would still hear the cry.
When the people thought they were near the place where the cry came from they could hear it at the other side of the field. After a long search they heard the cry no more but it was supposed to be a foreign bird.
