  1. There was a certain protestant who had a fine race horse. The horse got blind and the protestant told his servant to take to the holy well and wash his eyes in the well. In the morning the horse was all right. But the protestant was blind.
    One morning as Thomas Quin was going to work. Who did he see but his brother standing by the well. His brother was dead a year before this happened. Thomas walked towards him. Do you know me said his brother. I do said Thomas. Then his brother disappeared. Next morning an old woman was washing her feet in the same well and it went from one side
